I'm not sure why the posts are all screwed up, but as I said the tamper seems a little too big. Or perhaps the basket is a bit too small. It's a 53mm tamper and the basket also looks like 53mm, so not sure why it's not fitting.
I think that the basket has tapered sides and that's why it doesn't fit- don't baskets normally have straight sides?
