Logged onto the forum for the first time in a while (living out of London and only riding my road bike at the moment so don't see the point).
Surprised no-one has started a thread about the Contador allegations. Seems like the general consensus now is that he re-transfused a unit of his own blood that was taken earlier in the season while he was doping. Explains the low concentration (the machinery at Astana was not sensitive enough to detect the minute amount in the transfused blood) and the plastic residues also found.
As for the bad meat, I don't buy it and, more importantly, neither do WADA, apparently it's an old excuse.
Thoughts anyone?

What I still want to know is why everybody has been leaving Riis' team, which by all (official) accounts was quite successful and well-run.
OK, so the Schlecks are involved in setting up a rival team and Cancellara hints darkly at wanting to win the TdF, but that still doesn't seem to quite explain the original causes of this mass exodus?
Was part of it that everybody was worried about Contador coming?
