Cassette hub query

  • So I am thinking of getting this rigida wheel from colnago_costa but I am not sure what type of hub it is and how much of a pain it would be to convert to single speed....
Can anyone identify what type of cassette hub this is?? It doesnt look like a standard shimano splined Uni or hyperglide and I am not really familiar with any other types as Sheldon skirts over them.....

    Thanks!

  • Campagnolo. Not many Campag SS kits available as far as I know.

  • I was worried about that...and there doesnt even seem to be too much consistency between them either!! I have an old campag cassette block and I wonder if I could just use one of the sprockets and a bunch of spacers with the old lockring??

  • You are better of using a dedicated single aftermarket sprocket and spacer kit as they have taller teeth than the one off a cassette.Cassette sprockets want to encourage chains to move across them and so it will come off more readily.

  • Yeah this is very true, but I havent had too much trouble in the past (with shimano ones anyway) as long as you get the chain tension and the chainline right....like your username by the way :)
