Tartantastic

I've just built up a Dawes Tartan Club, and am now thinking about tape. Tartan would be optimum, otherwise blue cotton. Any ideas where one would find Tartan Tape?????

i'd be buying a rear brake before bar tape, or is that a coaster brake?

Thinking about that, perhaps a singlespeed coaster hub, but I always have trouble with rim brakes on the back.

so it has no rear brake?

1 brake on a bike is generally considered to be the less than intelligent choice

if your brake cable fails how do you intend to stop apart from using the nearest solid object to impede your forwards motion?

it makes you a liability to others, the fact you are not aware of its potential dangers demonstrates how much of a risk you pose to all and sundry - i am not so bothered about your own potential entry in the darwin awards

so buy a brake

also fit bar tape

do some basic research and educate yourself

that rear hub looks like a coaster

also, a better lock would be wanted I think.

Not a coaster, I'm afraid they have me bang to rights! However I do Know the risks, lock, brake, etc. I'm becoming more and more aware of them as more and more paternalists point them out loudly to me. When I took someone to task for unnecessary horn use this morning he told me I wasn't wearing a helmet. We all have to do our own risk assessments.
I probably will have a rear brake soon due to pressure from the missus, untill then I'll take it easy.

Tartan would look not good in my opinion, but it's not my bike. Nevertheless I've never heard of tartan tape. Black ftw.
