Got a jacket now. Its a snowboarding one rather than cycling specific, but it has everything I wanted and was reduced from £190 to £49.99 (thank you TKMaxx) so I thought why not. Its basically a fitted waterproof/windproof/thermal softshell with a soft fleecy lining, long arms, and an extra lycra cuff layer, so no wrist/glove draughts. TKMaxx on Charing Cross Road have got a million of them at the back of the shop incase its the kind of thing anyone else is looking for, and they've got a tonne of discounted baselayers in the same section too.
