Also goes well with the Amyl Nitrate and the oranges, this photo was actually taken while Ed was swinging from the kitchen door with a belt around his neck.

How do you find the brake hood angle issue on the randonneur bar?
I was setting up an old Marin MTB as a winter bike this weekend and I got a new randonneur bar for it. Didn't get to test drive yet, but got wondering about the hood angle when I installed the the Tektro v-brake drop levers.
You know what I'm talking about? The sideways leaning angle of the hood that is different between randonneur vs non-randonneur bar.
Oh yes I do, that sort of angle right?;
It's fine actually, felt pretty comfortable insofar, hasn't taken it out for a proper ride yet.

i got some nos Veloce D-skeleton brakes if you're interested. that looks like the most comfortable colnago with the technomic and the rando bars. I got the same set up on the moulton. i really like the bars a lot.
New stem and bar, (Nitto Randonneur), damn comfortable!
Gotta change the brakes though, any good one I should go for? (don't care if it's campag or shimano as long it can stop me quickly).

bootiful.

Saddle angle (may need to check saddle height to rectify it) and bartape and it'd look cool.
Great frame.

i'm getting on pretty well with that angle according to my riding position. i've had it like that for a week or so. i think when i've got some spare cash i might chuck on a sugino 75 crankset. and eventually i'd like a front aerospoke, but it's a great ride how it is.

Fair enough, just saying the saddle is supposed to be level, maybe a tiny tilt forward or back but if you you find the saddle comfy you should find it comfy when it's flat.

The cranks sound like a nice purchase but an Aerospoke would ruin the bike.

Have you gone for the wider 45's or the 42's?

What Max said, resist the spoke, if you've got money for that why not spend a little more and get a really bomb proof wheelset instead?

The link to the WHEELSET thread took you to the second page.
This should take you to the list on page one. http://www.lfgss.com/thread39040.html -

You probably wouldn't even need to spend more than the cost of 1 Aerospoke!

haha youre right about the aerospoke, but theyre so badass. no way i could afford a new one anyway so i'd be waiting on an ebay bargain. who knows, cranks coming first either way

I don't hate aerospokes per se but I do think they don't tend to look good on skinny steel bikes. In fact there's not much I can think of that would make your Condor look better, well done mate.
