The HV10 is a brilliant camera, my first (and now long gone) HD camera, stunning really for it's size, this is absolutely nothing like those £100 HD camcorders you get in Maplins or Dixons.
I can't recommend it highly enough, I paid around £800 for mine when it first came out, had quite a few things broadcast on TV (and even printed to film for cinema projection) from this little fella, won some pretty prestigious awards with the footage.
I tested it's output against a Sony FX1 and Sony HVR Z1, and although it has none of the FX1 and Z1's various controls it's image quality noticeably beats them both - the HVR Z1 still costs around £3,000 new.
