Hi all, I joined in... 2008? Well ages ago, I got myself sorted with an SE lager, rode it, loved then sold it sharpish as I went travelling for ages. I got back 2 months ago and am looking to pick up from where I left of which was.... oh yeh bikes, thats much more fun than buses and tubes! and.... wana start to learn about the things as a hobby.
Looking around for one at the mo, SimpleNL seems to post a few nice ones anyone have opinions on single speed v geared for a london runaround that might be used to cycle to Paris in summer? Good places to buy cheap ish bikes (-£300)
Things to avoid (like rare parts/brands) if looking to buy a bike that I might wana mess about with whilst learning?

Greetings. I'm new to London, been riding only a couple years around Boston. I'm here for at least a year for school. I've got a 2010 Globe Roll 1 (the grey/blue one, seems unavailable in the UK?) at home. If I have it shipped over, would anyone be interested in buying it? Is cycling here as dangerous as it looks from the sidewalk?

Been lurking here for a while (I signed up after reading a rider down thread regarding a mishap I witnessed where some toe rag who nicked a fixie and promptly flung himself over the handlebars and into an ambulance).
I got a Globe Roll 1 in black earlier this year and have been riding to and from work ever since.
You guys seem to like Bodeans - I love Bodeans. I will have to join you at some point.
