  • But the law says; its an offence to be under the influence, to the extent where you cannot properly control the bike. It then says that you can be arrested for this in Scotland... does that mean you can't be arrested for it in England..?

  • I've seen some people riding that are so drunk, they shouldn't be walking, least of all, riding (stand up the Nocturne crew) but somehow we all got home in one piece.

To quote someone from Wests last week 'beer compass never fails'!

    However there are limits ;)

  • I've been stopped by a copper whilst weaving through the entire width of a bus stand and lane on Walworth Rd. On the way home from a few too many!

He asked how far I'd come (Soho), how far I had to go (E.Dulwich) just told me to get off and walk it home.

I think that was pretty spot-on.

  • Not naming names. But a friend of mine was so drunk whilst riding home from a party, he passed out (mid pedal-stroke), and crunched his face on the tarmac - which resulted in many stitches and a night in hospital. Needless to say, he vows to never ride drunk again!

  • I think you should be able to judge it yourself, if you don't tak the governments view that we are all incapable of common sense and need to be told everything.

I mean obviously if it's daytime and there are peds and cars it's probably not best!

But at night... When most of us are drunk; Hardly any cars, and that's your safety you have to worry about, they're fine if they're in an metal box, aren't they?

As far as peds go, there are not likely to be many about, and at the speed you're going to be capable after a few too many isn't really going to do any significant harm in a collision.

This guy probably had the same pathetic thought.

  • I got arrested for it the other week. I wasn't that drunk though I probably shouldn't have been riding but I was unfortunate enough to stop at the traffic light in front of a cop car and forget to unclip and fall over with my feet in the pedals. I didn't give them any attitude though so they just kept me overnight and let me out in the morn with a stern warning

  • ^tha'ts pretty out of order imo.

  • ^ epic unclip fail. getting arrested for it too.

i'd agree that's out of order, i always wonder what you'd do with your bike? if you had to get into the police car do they what, ask you to lock it up? dismantle it and put it in the boot? :)

a night in the cells? bloody hell! thats a bit full on, are you sure you aren't lying?

  • They couldn't be arsed to give him a ride home.

Had to get back to the donuts quick snap.

  • haha it is a terrible idea yet at the time a great deal of fun

  • i think someone is drunk right now ^

  • he passed out (mid pedal-stroke),

    Golden
