Steve-o*Notes It Didn't feel fair to ask Jeff & Gabs for a contribution as they didn't play much, its their second time and they don't seem into it yet. I was thorough on 14th I don't think I missed anyone*.
edit: i will have a book and write this stuff down next time -

i only played 3 games all night, can i have my money back? -
• #17
are you saying you're a beginner?
I was being soft on the newbies. if they show up next Thursday i will ask for their contribution
I'll give you your money back but for me its hard to tell if you're serious.

you play, you pay

you play, you pay
that was exactly my point. i can understand what you're saying paul, but the fact is we're paying for the lights and everyone should contribute. if 6 newbies turn up but only play a bit, that still makes a difference on how many games the rest of us can play. if we're gonna be charging, we should have a blanket 'you play, you pay' rule to avoid any problems. just sayin like... -

agreed
its gets unusual if lots of people turn up, i suppose as everyone pays the same amount then we'll have more money overall to keep the good times going.

you could have played more if you wanted but your spiting yourself and feeling hard done to, its nothing to do with money, if jeff had payed you would have still got the same amount of games. The more people we get the less games we get, simples

More-a-side?

More-a-side?
no.
I'm with Paul, surely newbies are allowed their first or second session without being invoiced, just to encourage them to return! -
• #24
i agree, 1st and second time at least should be free, we really do need to sort the shuffles out now were paying though. Its worth saying though if someone voluntarily sits out of a game to get food etc it doesn't mean there automatically in the next one, they wait for the grand shuffle
-

+1
if you go for food that's your choice.
maybe we should start out playing with the teams and then go to shuffles after? team games are well good

This topic/sticky is for Powerhaus information only please.... up to date info on financials, dates we're playing; who's playing etc.
PH Winter Sessions - every Thursday from 6.30-9.30pm under floodlights
October Financials
Everyone else MUST bring £2.50 per session PLEASE!
PH didn't have an invoice ready when I went over today - so we'll now pay £100 for four weeks advance as we've collected enough. Next £10 will be collected in three weeks time. We should still collect the £2.50 per night from those not paying in advance. Can we log all those who played tonight (except Swiss guests natch) so they can cough up when they feel the guilt.... ;-)
Initial guidelines:
We have three hours - the first two hours will be throw-ins as per normal; the last hour is for regulation team play/practice. Newer players are encouraged to form Thursday night teams to begin to play tournament-syle!
