I got a Manta Ray and a smaller non-self build Thunder Dragon (with the trigger control). I lusted after the Avanti: proper ball bearings, carbon chassis mmmmm.

Just bought my lad a remote control car, cheapish one as he is only just 5, the plan is to build a Tamiya one next, my dad loved building them with me.
Top work.

Sounds good aye.
These all pre brushless of course.
Might stick a 3s brushless in the catamaran, see what it can do.

Catamaran looks awesome - I imagine it will take off with a brushless motor...
I've been playing with my Sandscorcher with my daughter and her friends. It's fantastic down the park, you can usually pick up a couple of dogs and have a chasing crew of three year olds and small yappy dogs :) -

Yeash it used to run a Graupner 700 BB Turbo with 14 Sanyo NiMh in series.
Surface drive Octura prop used to hit about 30mph.
Brushless LiPo should take it to mad skillz.
Sandscorcher so OG btw.
Was thinking these must be worth something?

Oh yeah, old thread fever. They were purely functional and totally dominant. Especially when I'm driving! B^)
