  • If the frame is steel you could try cold setting -

    Or spacers

  • Thanks, i was asking because 15mm difference seems like a lot so wasn't sure if it's not too much.

  • Perfectly feasable.

  • I've run a 120mm Dura Ace 7600 hub in a 126mm spaced frame- I did not want to cold set so bought a couple of 3mm aluminium spacers, worked perfectly.

I would imagine that 7.5mm on each side would be feasible just as long as you have enough axle to thread the track nuts onto, if using spacers that is.

What is your current frame- anything worth keeping un-molested?

  • Complete crap, I'm not worried about damaging it.
I'll be running it few months only until i get a new frame.
I'll use spacers and try to squeeze it a bit.
    Thanks for the help.

  • I bought washers from a hardware shop for my first conversion.

    Ugly-yes.
    Did they work-yes.

Total cost was in the region of £0.12

The spacers I used with the DA hub cost around a tenner with delivery I think.

  • Here you go, all sorts of spacers.

  • thanks
