Nokon, not for the whole cable, but from the lever to the top-tube, then an oiler, then normal cable. You don't need to buy a Nokon cable kit, I just buy extension kits, which are 80cm of outer and 1m of inner for both gear and brake cabling. Use cable oilers to connect the Nokon to the normal outer.
Oilers also mean you can squirt WD40/GT85 into the cables every so often to keep your brakes running silky smooth.
My cable has split already, I guess it's quality.
CRC are saying that kit doesn't come with inner cable though?
Also I'm assuming that oiler fits in between cables? I have cable bosses which means the middle section is just exposed wire, so I guess these are no good.
I'm having a shit time with my V brake after flipping my rear wheel. Pretty much have to reset it each time which is a pain in the arse.
Might be because my rear wheel isn't true. Anyone else have this problem? I'm definitely not getting the pull I should.
Also, on behalf of another player, would there be any problems running a calliper on the front and V brake on the back using a 'Rik' style double lever?
