  • Hi everybody,
I’m Jamie’s work mate and friend as well, as we both are riders.
He’s story is very emotional from my point of view. I’m agency worker. My agency is sending me to many different places, and Jamie’s one is among my favourites, especially because I could find there someone special, with whom I can talk a lot about bikes, and never get bored. And he never hesitates to tell me what’s wrong with my english ha,ha,ha – I like this way of making it better.
It took 2 weeks before I heard about his accident, as I was busy somewhere else, while his company wanted me to start carry Jamie’s duty. Usually I’m only happy to get job for long period, but this time it is a lot bitter to cover injured friend.
Considering above MANY THANKS DODGE AND OTHERS FROM ME AS WELL. It would be my nightmare if he wouldn’t survive.
Jamie wanted to buy my polish racer from 50s, as he is lover of classic lugs. I helped him to find nicer one on e-bay, and it’s paint and lugs were really impressive. I’ll post the picture, if I’ll only find.
He visited us at work yesterday. He was on errr…little hay, as forced to be constantly on painkillers. But I tell you what – this bloke did not lose sense of humor: he wore t-shirt with personally drawn skull and sarcastic motto “live fast, ride faster” ha ha ha.
I feel better seeing him walking. Tommorow Jamie will get important checking to his shoulder, which is most uncertain of his condition yet. There is something minced around his muscle. I asked him how the hell position he could find to sleep, while deeply stitched all around. Jamie showed me only position he could find – freaky one, but at least it’s on the right side of the body, not heart pressing one. But he can fall asleep, when really tired only.
As final word I’d like to ask you folks to wish him good shower, hahaha, as soon as possible, since his corpse is mummy-wrapped yet, and it’s itchy so much, that he don’t know what’s worse: pain, or that.

  • Thanks for giving us some news, Cristhe the kolarz.
    Heal fast Jamie.

  • All the best Jamie..

  • This is just a wonderful thread. It's really nice to hear from family members and loved ones and I'm really happy that you're ok Jamie. Not that I know you personally like, but I wish you all the best on getting back on two wheels. Take it slow, sometimes it'll be tough, but you'll get there.

    and +1 to Linda

  • Good to hear Jamie's ok and his sense of humour has not suffered any serious injuries. Thanks for the news!

  • This is the best sentence I have ever read.

Your native language and English give a good mix!

Jamie can sit in a bath half full with some bubble bath
just has to be careful not to get his dressings wet
hopefully get all the dressings off in a few weeks

  • ...with some bubble bath...

He'll thank you for that priceless detail Linda!!

    Hope he's healing up well.

it's horrible, not being able to have a proper bath or shower. i had 2 months of flannel washes, then could bath and shower but had to keep my leg dry. not fun!!! you never feel properly clean.

  • hiya
Jamie has had some dressings off, but still has 3 to go so still goinng to C / W to get them changed , bit of a drag but got to be done.
We are hopeful to have then all off in a few weeks

  • hello every one its jamie here! just wanted to say thanks first to every one who rolled the car off me and every one who wished me well an any one i've missed out!!! im still recovering and am still a bit shaken up from the crash but getting better day by day and would like to meet and thank who ever helped me at the crash and buy them a drink!

  • It's great to hear that you're recovering, Jamie!

  • Great news. Hoping your recovery goes well.

  • Whow, haven't read this thread, but good to hear that you pulled through alright.
OKR is my daily commute, and sometimes I find it incredibly sketchy to ride there.
    Anyway, Heal up fast.

BTW: Do you ride BMX at the Peckham dirt track close to bird in bush road?

  • yeah i have been to that track befor but more of freestyle bmxing? lol

  • I always go past there, and those kids go for it.
    Anyway, I hope you're healing well ...

  • Im kind of new on this forum bizzz but i know people dont like it when they start threads that already exist so i thought i post this here!

A friend of mine was nearly hit by a driver and he posted about it on facebook. He got some sympathy but one girl didnt give ANY. i had to comment on her stupid attitude (im dom btw) This is the convo if any one wants a read

BTW im sure my cyclist caused deaths stat is a few years out of date.....

  • You forget to mention that there's no such thing as road tax.

  • Sweet didnt know that until right now.

  • I had a go at a guy last week on twitter, he was moaning about the person involved in the crash in Park Lane causing him to pay the congestion charge. I normally don't get involved if I can help it but I was furious. He fobbed me off much like that girl on your facebook chat, but a few hours later he apologised. I was shocked.

I wouldn't hold you breath with her though, she sounds like a proper dickhead.

  • Also im sorry about stealing your thread i didnt fully read it Im new so ill learn. Hope jamie is feeling awesome !

  • if she knew what we all went throught that night she wouldn't be saying any of that
we are just glad Jamie is still with us it could of been so different

  • i'm a driver and am very aware of people on bikes ( because Jamie rides )
and people with prams ( as i'm a mum )
we just all have to keep our eyes open and pay attention

  • Nice posts, Linda.

  • I saw the aftermath of a cyclists down on Camden Road last night, about 6:30. I think a car and a motorbike were involved, ambulance there and the cyclist on a stretcher - anyone know if the guys is ok??
