  • don't know about you guys but i'm really starting to dig (excuse the pun) the chilean national anthem.

    i notice that the miners sang it to keep morale up it when they got stuck and they sung it when they got out. the relatives sang it at the candlelit vigils when they were sad and they sang it during the rescue when they were happy. that' sa lot of national anthem. is it the only song that everyone in chile knows? or is it the only song that's allowed to be sung in chile? is the chilean top 10 made up entirely of different versions of the national anthem. what's chilean x-factor like? maybe mining disasters are a matter national pride in chile? or is a strong nationalist feeling and the urge to burst into song just the natural reaction when faced with unplanned and prolonged subterranean incarceration?

    so many questions.
