i don't drink cider. Unlike Andy, I'm not a hipster....
Are you mocking my disa-fucking-bility you bastard?I have to drink cider because beer is off limits due to medical reasons.

That is the stock, marginally ironic hipster response

sorry. -

Ha! I was kidding (although the reason I can't drink beer is true).
Anyway, back on topic. I am now entered for Muddy Hell II and plan to improve on my 10th placed position in the old bastards race (although the oldest, biggest bastard has chickened out I believe - care to comment Clive?) from last year.

Cliveo will claim work as a limiting factor.
-
• #32
... and just to clarify if this is your first, or one of your first goes at 'cross/offroad racing, then you should probably enter in the Go-Race catagory - which will be a more entry level field of riders.
It's just a shame no-one told Clive last year. :)

clive in teaching the bad, dirty bike a lesson it deserves.
-
• #34
I think the bike totally pwned Clive to be honest.
-
• #35
The course certainly did. I imagine Clive still has nightmares about the drop off.
-
• #36
I saw all the other riders dashing down it; reached the top; looked down; felt nauseous; dismounted and gently carried my bike to safety.
No nightmares involved and luckily it was a long way from any onlookers.

Unfair. This Sunday I have been forced to abandon my plans to ride the Tour of the Marshes as I have been called into a meeting with an American, a Brazillian and a Welshman. Sounds like a joke and, in a manner of speaking, it is.
If anyone knows the punchline, I would be delighted to hear it.

-

that depends on how much experience you have of riding fixed off road.
if you do this regularly and have been cycling since before you could walk, ride bmx/mtb/road/track/fixed/geared and are a good bike handler it will be challenging and fun.only been riding your fixie-skidder for 3 months between EC1 and E3 then it's going to be scary fun up until you lose a leg or maybe even kill yourself.
don't forget it's dark so you need more that a hipster cyst Knogg light to illuminate the tree you are about to kiss.
