I had...
Tamiya Madcap - bathtub plastic chasis. Upgraded the drivetrain and chassis in the end.
Schumacher Procat - four wheel drive jobby. First serious one
Schumacher Cougar - two wheel drive jobby - very quick
Losi-XXX - another two wheel drive but with a plastic/carbon chassis.Computer games just killed this stuff - gutted, as it was awesome fun.
All were awesome. Raced at Chingford.

I loved Tamiyas as a kid - took me 2 years of begging and saving to get a Monster Beetle - i have a mate who is still into RC, has aall sort of cars, planes and helicopters.
He has a petrol powered dune buggy, bigger than a Tamiya, which accelerates about as fast as my motorbike, insane bit of kit

anyways, any people wanting to maybe have a bit of a race at some point, we should arrange a meet up.

Get it finished and racing! What kind of motor you thinking of putting in it?
Traxxas titan 10 turn. Not really up on all this, but my dad builds RC boats and thats what he suggested.
This was last years Crimbo present thats been kind of forgotten about. I never had one as a child although all my mates did, I preferred bikes.
Motor and servos now ordered.

It was a Tamiya 'Wild One' for me...beat the Hornet and Grasshopper hands down! :]
I used to race it at a school RC club...kicked ass!

Used to have a hornet (had two, the clear body one that I wore out was replaced with a version with a stiffer bodied, opaque one). Never wanted one but they were the only one I could afford... I'd completely forgotten about the Egress - that was ace.
Had a mini cooper model as well that went like stink, but I can't for the life of me remember the manufacturer - another Japanese one I think...

Although how much did they cost originally!?

I have just over that, 10.5t. Mines an LRP eraser brushless combo, can use up to 8t brushed motors on it.
Get it ready to race!!
Remember the mad bull?
