• I’m with you on the moderation thing, it’s a shame that people can’t moderate themselves or at the very least use emoticons to soften their often easily misinterpreted razor sharp sarcasm.

    On a serious note, when i first went to drinks i was expecting to be greeted by a post apocalyptic welcome to the thunderdome type crowd, only to walk into a pub filled with middle aged bike geeks.

    The key to LFGSS, is that its a real life as well as an online comunity, and the banter and caustic nature of some of the threads online is reflected by the generosity, friendship, charity and help that the members give each other offline.

    I agree that some Newbs get too much of a pasting, and i know people who have been put off joining by this, but the forum to me really is like a bunch of mates, with differing opinions, but drawn together by the love of bikes, sitting in a pub and putting the world to rights.
