Police confirmed, it was lorry and cyclist. Unfortunately the people I talk to have gone home for the day. Will know by morning if nothing is posted.

I passed by there at 12:45 and the police had Mildmay Park closed all the way to the railroad bridge and balls pond road closed at king Henry's walk. I hope its not as bad as it seams.

I live by that rail bridge on Mildmay Grove South, was in all day but didn't notice they'd closed Mildmay Park (but then didn't leave the house till about 4.30).
The air ambulance landed near King Henry's walk today but that was much later, about the same time I left the house.
Let's hope the news is better than in the OP =(

The air ambulance seems to have been for this:
Can't find anything about the crash.

I have heard from a friend, that the cyclist is in hospital but the injuries though serious aren't life threatening. Unfortunately the source, is a friend, of a friend, so I can't be 100% on the accuracy but here's hoping...

fingers crossed for that!

anyone got any more news on this?

I was there the whole time and saw everything. I was very shaken as i watched the paramedics work on him for over an hour, trying to safely retrieve him from under the massive tip truck double wheels. As I watched from my friends 2nd story building I could see alot but no blood. Eventually they got him out and onto a stretcher, thankfully and to my surprise his arms were moving and he was alive. Quite unbelieveable, i thought he was gone. He is so lucky to have been alive, it was a horrible accident. Hopefully he is still OK. I wish i hadnt seen it but has made me a better cyclist since. If he hadnt made it i would have been devistated.

Hi Everyone,
An update for you... the young lady involved in this accident on Tuesday the 28th was my 23year old sister. She suffered some nasty injurys but is recovering in hospital as we speak, she was a verty lucky girl.
Thank you all for your kind messages on here... I stumbled across this thread by accident last week and I thought it would be a good opportunity to thank you all for your support and also to ask if anyone was witness to the accident and havent spoken to police It would be great if you could get in touch on here. I am in the process of gathering as much info as i can in order to get to the bottom of wghat happened to my sister that afternoon.
Just got this from a friend
Can anybody confirm?
"Just saw a cyclist killed by a lorry on balls pond... Just a reminder never to go on the inside of lorries, they can't see you and 90% of cyclist deaths are caused by this... Brrrrrr DARK DARK DARK..."
