For Sale: OT - Lightboxes

I made this piece for a wee show the other day: 3AM Eternal

It is a light box not a clock. Its A4 in size and about 70mm deep. It's made from black acrylic and when you turn it off its just plain black. Anyway it was quite good fun to make and I wouldn't mind making a few more. I can make them up to 900mm x 900mm and you can have any design / pattern backlit. You can also choose the colour of light. Prices should start as low as £80-100. I'm trying to sort out a flasher unit for them now as well. PM me if your interested.

How complex a design could you do? Could think of some pretty cool things to do with it provided there isnt too much limitation on the design.

Make one with the year. It doesn't change that often as hours and you can pretend it's a [I]year clock[/I]。。。

How complex a design could you do? Could think of some pretty cool things to do with it provided there isnt too much limitation on the design.

People can send me any vector design file (ai,dxf,dwg,eps) and I can make something from them. The main restriction is that I don't really want to use anything smaller than a 3mm cutter to machine the chanacters / design. The design is cnc machined on the back of the acrylic to within 0.3mm of the front face. Thats what gives you the translucency. I can use different colours of acrylic too
