What ratio are they!
any photos
Will they fit campag hub
have a problem with mine,i have chorus ergo levers 8-speed with 9-speed campag cassette.obviously does not work properly although it shifts ok.but in the middle ratio gears it jumps.
Any ideas, can i remove 1 gear to make it 8-speed??
Thanks Malc -

You can make your 9spd cassette work by removing one sprocket AND (most importantly) replacing the spacers between the sprockets with the black ones from an 8spd cassette. Note you CANNOT fit an 8spd cassette to a 9spd Campag freehub, the splines are different, but the spacers have same inside diameter and are therefore interchangeable. 9spd spacers are thinner (to accommodate the extra sprocket) hence why they won't index correctly with 8spd Ergos. I might be able to help you out, will have to see what I can find... cheers H

Just curious then can I convert an 8 speed cassette to a nine by respacing and adding an extra 8 speed sprocket?

Tel, I have a pair fo Colnago Mavic deep v rims which are from 9 speed era and have an 8 speed block exactly as mentioned.
Just curious then can I convert an 8 speed cassette to a nine by respacing and adding an extra 8 speed sprocket?

I've never tried going that way, it seems more common for people to end up with 8spd Ergos and 9/10spd wheels, but in theory if you used 9spd spacers with an 8spd cassette you could certainly get it to index with 9spd Ergos across 8 cogs, how well the 9th gear would work I don't know, one of the reasons for the spline pattern is to align the cogs so the shifting is smooth, if you randomly add another sprocket it might not shift smoothly because the ramping on the cogs would not be lining up correctly. You would of course need a 9spd chain.
It's also possible that an 8spd freehub is slightly narrower than 9spd... [goes of in search of wheels and vernier]
