With all of this in mind, I'm going to make a prediction. I think SE must have a new top-end phone under wraps, that will look to take on the Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Droid X, and even the HTC Desire HD. If I'm wrong, SE are sunk. They'll fall so far behind, they won't even be a blip on the radar. Its sink or surf for them.
T-Mobile getting the HTC Desire HD within a few weeks, but Vodafone may have them first.
Amazon planning their own Android Apps Store?
Dell Streak gets unofficial Froyo 2.2.
(Budget?) LG Optimus Froyo 2.2 phone available by Xmas.
EDIT:
Sony-Ericsson is launching the X8, which is a budget phone, again stuck with the 1.6 OS. This has given the rise to opinion, that SE has botched their Android stategy. A roadmap has shown no Froyo for any SE phone till possibly 2011, if at all. Its got so bad, that in America the X10 is being sold with contract for 1 cent (a penny, as they call it). This is even though the phone is still one of the most expensive to buy sim-free.
