Are the chipo bikes made exactly to your spec.Because i'm looking at the seat post and can't see anything for height adjustment?
-
• #36854
they chop the carbon tube when you are having the final fitting
measure twice cut once
there is no going back unless you want shorter and you can't adjust the saddle if you are not happy unless you gt saddles with different height rails

oh ed i was gonna ask you about some classic brake levers for a 24mm bar ? do you have anything going long silver / chrome
do you have any recommendations for some nice looking long levered retro brakes -

Dia Compe 204 Touring is your best bet, and it's new, come in other colour, you can have the cable on the bar or through the lever;

ftfy. It's just a generic Chinese frame with Mario decals.

The vast majority of carbon frames are made in China. To qualify for a "made in Italy" (or any other country for that matter), about 60% of the value of the final product should be added in Italy. So that means the Chinese frames are painted and built up in Italy, and all of a sudden the bike is "made in Italy"
Bianchi, Cervelo, Kuota, Colnago, Look, Pinarello they all use frames made in Asia which get painted, stickered, assembled and boxed in their claimed country of origin.

But the big brands have exclusive designs, whereas the Cipollata is obviously an "open mould" product. I don't think Look carbon frames are made in Asia, last I heard they were made in Tunisia, although the 464ALP is Taiwanese.

iirc the top of the line Look frames are made in France, some other companies also make their most expensive frames in their contry of origin.
I like the look of the Cipo frame though (especially built up the way it is in that picture) and I haven't come across an identical frame branded as something else so I really don't know whether it's exclusive to Cipo or not. -

Even Oakley are made in China/Japan now. The quality is there for a smaller price but everybody links European/American made things to be better.
That Indy Fab should be in anti. If you crop to just the rear half it look good. Same for the front. Looks good until you see the skinny rear triangle and fat forks.

i would liked more with campy super record
why?

And the reason for that is bordering on racism. If/when the quality is lower it is because it is built to the requested price I would imagine. It is not as though there are no master craftsman in the whole of asia who equal any people in the west.
If I could get a frame hand made in Italy and pay Italian labour rates versus the exact same frame hand made in Taiwan paying Taiwan labour rates I would choose the Taiwanese frame. Why wouldn't I, an Italian craftsman is no more or less to me than a Taiwanese craftsman.

I'm unsure about that. For some people it might be, but others (like me) are uneasy with the realities of the Chinese govt keeping their currency massively devalued and wages super-low so manufacturing is much cheaper in their country than the alternatives. Some people prefer the people who make their stuff to be paid and treated well.

I tend to think manufactures go a bit 'potty' with decals.A bit in your face.I wish they would tone them down a bit. Just a personal thought like.

Don't disagree, however your points have nothing to do with the quality of the end product.
I was referring to the comment made around quality and the assumption that Asian products would be inferior by default. -

why clutch levers?

The Parlee frames with the polished/waxed bare carbon finish look unbelievable up close.
Cliff from Royce has raised the bar on bling track hubs; was showing full Ti/carbon hubs with Ti nitride coated everything including track nuts and lockring ... £900!! The titanium billet he is milling them from costs £150 per hub on it's own.
He has also developed his own proprietary BB standard with a three sided spindle to increase the contact area and his own track cranks and chainrings to match. (definitely not porn though)

why?
don`t like the shimano levers and cranckset (the shpae), that make space for sram and campy. but the bike is italian so prefer campy
