I have an Exposure Joy stick which I won for winning a night race (woo go me!) it's freakkin awesome, I did use a dealextreme special which was also freakkin awesome but the battery only lasted an hour on full lumen and the torches are too heavy for mounting on your lid.

look for any of the p7 LED torches, pick up some batteries,, dont buy the cheapest charger on their as it's rubbish go one up or two on the price scale. add some scope/rifle mounts and voilla you have a 900lumen sun on your handlebars for 20quid.
I can bring my torches to Polo practice on Wednesday if you'd like to give them a whirl
