the sad fact is that, as a designer, unless you find something patentable (a mecahnical mechanism, a manufacturing process or a material) your brand (and associated trademark/label) is the only thing you can forcibly protect. If this wasn't the case then we wouldn't have highstreet goods at affordable prices for the masses.
You're (not you personally AGB) either an elitist aristocrat or a socialist minion. Pick a side.
