• Hello gents,

Would like to upgrade my bag today - anyone know where I can go to try a selection? Have 14 got many in at the moment? Going into town later on (not riding), would be nice to do a one-stop hit somewhere.

    Any suggestions?

  • Evans do Chrome, don't they?

  • i rate my crumpler sticky date well, not for real courieriing probably but excellent fakenger bag with lots of pockets for small items and a big enough main cavity to do a few days shopping.

    got mine from evans.

ive used mine most days since sept 2007 and its still in one piece and fairly good nick.

  • BLB stock the excellent PAC bags.

  • 14 are stocking the excellent Mission Workshops kit now.

  • Thanks for the help lads, look like I'm going to do the Spitalfields Evans/BLB/14 route.

    Didn't even consider Evans.

    All help appreciated, cheers gents.

  • Tokyo Fixed Gear too...

And search for Levrier bags on here

  • 14 have for some bags from the US that are very expandable. 200 'kin pounds though. They do some cheaper ones too.

Also BLB usually have a selection of bags.

  • Tokyo Fixed Gear too...

And search for Levrier bags on here

If you're looking for a purchase today Tokyo fixed gear wont be open, I don't think.

  • Thanks for the link guys - but unless you are going to drive down to Bristol and hold a gun to my head I am afraid you wont get a Levrier bag today - they are made to order and I have a few others in the que to get through first :)

If you must have one today - I would have thought the PAC/MW would be the way to go as It looks like Push Cycles who stock Belk aren't open Sundays... :(

  • There is a Crumpler shop on the Strand near the Savoy

  • Tokyo Fixed have good ones in at the moment also Condor!! Got my chrome from there.

  • London Graphic centre in covent garden have loads including freitag if thats your thing. think they stock crumpler too

  • I got a PAC from BLB this week, good stuff

Some nice looking bags there, is that the price in GBP? Seems more expensive than paying in Forint but I may have easily missed something.

  • Also.. .UTFS

Yep, already seen that, though I was more worried about getting a bag today without having to travel miles to compare. Appreciated, mind.

Ended up doing the Spitalfields/Truman/Brick Lane lap and visiting all those shops. Wanted a plain black bag, ended up with a bog standard Timbuk2 Classic, I couldn't justify the extra £70 for those Mission Workshop bags, but if the Timbuk2 is pants/uncomfy then might have to rethink.

Getting it's first run tomorrow, thanks again for the help gents.

  • they're fine bags - people are snobby about them here but they get the job done.. Mine's 2 years old and only just starting to get a bit tatty and smelly.

Timbuk2 also have amazing customer service- I emailed them when one of the velcro tabs came off on my bag and they immediately gave me $150 of online store credit to buy another bag - even though my existing one was completely fine.

About to get a MW backpack - but only because using a courier style bag every day is starting to hurt my back.

  • +1, I've had one for a while and it's still going strong, has even survived a couple of nasty falls, you'll learn to pad out the back in no time at all. I hope you got the pad for the strap as well because it's murder without that

  • Unrelatedish, but....

I own a Bagaboo Workhorse Pro. I purchased this bag from UrbanHunter quite some time ago, however I recently broke a clip due to treating it like shit. I emailed the store and a free replacement clip was on my doorstep within 24 hours.

    Very good service.

Yeah, get the pad thing - not only does the strap cut into you without it, but the bag will move around like a bastard if you're wearing gore tex or any other technical fabric.

Padding the back out is an artisan skill!

I'll give it 1/2 a day before hippy moves and merges this thread into some other kind of bag thread

Yes, the prices above are in english pound, and yes you are right, they might be more expensive then paying in HUF, Its because of postage of bags, etc.
