How is it with the drops?
To ride? I really like it. The drops aren't in the so called correct position (i.e, "bar blocking the view of the hub") on mine, the hub is behind the bar, because I just used the existing stem. So going off the rule of thumb this would mean the handlebars are too high or too far forward, but with my hands in the drops, and my arms pretty straight it's actually a more relaxed, upright position. I think, at least, I obviously haven't seen myself on the bike and I also ride with a huge rucksack that must effect my position.

I've owned several Carreras in the last ten years and a regular problem that I encountered with all of them was exessive chain ring wear.Within a year the chain would be slipping off the worn teeth and my shin was taking a battering as it hit the ring, so the first thing I did when I bought my Zero three months ago for the bargain price of £239-99p, was replace the chainring with a decent quality one.I found that the standard gearing of 42x16 was a shade too high for my 63 year old knees,so I fitted a 40 toothed
chainring which gives me a knee friendly 70 inch setup.I ride a ten mile round trip to work and have so far done about 400 miles with no problems at all.The bike is light, manoeuvrable and its frame seems to be straight enough for me to ride with no hands on the bar without veering into the undergrowth-not that I would do anything so irresponsible, unless it was an emergency-like giving a motorist a double middle finger when they scrape past with inches to spare. It would be a bargain at twice the price,

^ I'm sooooooooooooooo buying one of them. I've been meaning to buy one for ages and now I have a bike-shaped space I'm getting one.
5 year warranty on frame and 2 year on parts, and it's got double rear eyelets and seatstay eyelets so you can fit a proper rack.

Don't forget to check it properly, i.e. check if everything's installed correctly that is.
it's a good bike, but from those shop, expect Halfords' style mechanic.
