Sludge tubes?

ive utfs n cant find anything useful, ive just punctured my back and i cba with patches etc usual bollocks cos im lazy ;-)

does anyone use the sludge tubes ??? are they any good or more hassle than worth, i used slime for years in my mtbs without trouble or punctures and would like the same on my fixie as its for getting fit and i dont realy want to lug a bag of stuff everywhere with me

hardly a bag of stuff when you'll only need a small pump, spare tyre/patch and a single tyre lever, can be something small like this;

sludge tube are not worth it, especially on road bike where it'll be noticably heavier.

just either get a good tyres, not to ride near or in the gutter like everyone else or just carry a small pump/inner tube/lever.

I use them on my MTB, I still carry spares and tools.
They weigh too much. Carry a spare and tools.

Spare tube to swap out punctured one, patch punctured one at home, one rainy afternoon, whilst drinking an alcoholic beverage, I usually do them in a bunch, five or six at a go.

I have no knowledge of sludge tubes..

ive looked at the mini pump route and i dont reckon it would get to pressure, are there any good small pumps that arent stupid cash cos im not only lazy but a pure gypo :D

I have a Topeak Turbo Morph, it's about 12" long and has a gauge. Gets up to 100psi alright. I've had it for nearly three years and it's still working fine. I think it was about 25 quid...

I have them in a bike that came with them on, so I left them. Touch wood, never had a flat that needed repairing, though have had puncture as the pressure does drop and you can tell till you pump them up again.

Feel no different to the bikes without sludge whatsoever.

So, not that I would have bothered with them left to my own devices (though I use them on my motorbike) for fast road work (I use them on commuters and kids bikes) I have to say I rate them.
