  • Cheers Hebdy will check it out, do I need to buy a padlock though? I don't quite understand what the set up will be with this "no D-lock or chain" system.

Kidboy, will scope it out, I've got by locking outside Birkbeck for 3 years so maybe I'll be OK here.

Not really sure what that means tbh, in the New Academic basement lock up there are bike racks to which I just D-locked my bike.

Getting inside the buildings to the basement bike rooms might be problematic without a LSE card as they are secure access, however might be worth asking the people at the front desks.

At the beginning of last year police and security were keen to point out that even within the campus numerous bikes had gone missing despite it being compact and busy, so I guess it is worth taking decent precaution.

All the suggestions above sound good especially keeping saddles etc secure (friend had a nice Brooks nicked last year). I would go with the plan of tyrying to get it into the lecture room - seems as secure as you can get!!
