Buy bike in Paris?

I'm moving to Paris for a year and could do with some wheels - any thoughts on where to go a huntin?

I live in france, but 666 miles from paris.

theres a fixed gear shop call, cyclops? (has a blog) in paris. big fixed gear SS scene in paris so its easy to find a bike if you have some money.

for real bike hunting go to the secret website, leboncoin.fr

after finding your local area then type in the secret word. 'velo'

if you can speak french then you will be able to buy cheep french roadbikes from lovley old french men. If you can't speak french I'm sure you can learn a enough to buy bikes.

alternativly, there's a big carboot sale scene in my area, and bikes usually cost 10 , 20 euros. have a look a videgreniers.org - these are free to enter carboot sales on the weekend, old ladies sell ex husbands bikes every week.

with these two techniques, I was nettting around a bike per week in my prime. I've settled down since then, but happy hunting, hope that helped.

@ nearly £7 per issue, tis a touch steep but could well fit the criteria!

+1 leboncoin, but try and keep it quiet, are a load of cheap bikes on there ;) vide greniers are the best!
