eBay and Craigslist finds

dont know about that, maybe the frame came without a fork and he bought that separately, i dont know. Not sure the blue is a balckx either though, cant see the pics here at work just the one pic that is on the listing.
the one i sold was a balckx if the blue one looks like this

it is probly a balckx :)

1) The blue ones seat pin/seat post clamp looks lower than the standard one I've seen
on all later merckx.

2) The head lug is cut out near the headset which is un-common.

3) the rear bridge is round (like this one) but on later models its panto'd.

4) the BB is cut out which is unusual.

I'm thinking the frame is a very old (70's ?) Merckx and the forks are later (80's or 90's) .

any other thoughts ?
