    tight scottish cnut!

  • you get a lot more kit with this dremel wannabe than you get for the £33 pound pukka dremel basic kit, hells teeth...... give me strength

  • Several years ago I bought a £10 'Challenge' jigsaw from Argos.
Possibly the best £10 I have ever spent. It's never let me down, and has been used loads.

good enough for any domestic warfare that stuff. Got one myself, not a brass knob in sight, but just plain old works.

  • is the argos jigsaw good for seatpost-cutting-out?

    totally not.

Remember your cutting the seatpost, not the frame ! Gently does it my son.

I got a 'tool pack' of Challenge stuff. The drill died (battery stopped holding charge), the jigsaw died (blade holder stopped holding blades), the electric screwdriver is so woefully underpowered I never used it and the sander still works but only cause I almost never use it.

I did get a Challenge Extreme angle grinder though (seperately) which works great.

I also have a cheapo dremel. Its ok (still works etc...) but its not great.

  • i used to file animals teeth down with a dremel - they didnt like it much
