I am planning to convert my old road bike. (see other threads). I have two options for the wheels, buy a new set or so something with the existing set. The rear wheel is a rigida rim with a campagnolo avanti hub. Is the cheapest option to buy a new hub with spokes and use the existing rim?
How much would a shop charge for lacing a hub into a rim?
I am also keeping an eye on the used forum if an affordable rear wheel pops up. Ideally I want to run a flip flop hub. Want to have the option to turn to single speed if I end up finding running fixed gear dangerous on the road biased frame with 175mm cranks.
