It's because the SS conversion kit on the current (fucked up) hub is made to fit 9 speed hubs. Is that OK with everyone?
Alternatively I might buy a 135mm SS hub and rebuild the wheel... but then that involves spending money on something I probably ain't gonna play very often. Hence me asking for a free wheel
