I got a larger inner tube from Tokyo Fixed Gear while I was in mooching about. Easily 28c+. Found the whole job took me way less time than it took this fella, maybe 5 mins total. Much better doing this than replacing expensive straps in my opinion.
Plus you get the added advantages mentioned above.
But yeah any job like this is a fucker to get round to doing, not particularly fun or rewarding. I think I'll probably redo them each time I chuck a new chain on.

It's a tutorial on using inner tube to protect Burro straps. I've tried it on my Hold Fasts and found it has the added benefit of stiffening them up on the pedals so they don't move around so much when getting my foot in and out.
If anyone has any other strap related tips I'd love to hear em.
