amey, go down to south beers, introduce yourself and things will be sorted out. The forum has forgiven worse.
If your flatmate jumped onto your account as you suggest, give them some harsh words and start using a password, and get them to come on and apologise for making a mess of your reputation. otherwise this will just run and run.
Never mistake the forum in its computer version with the people you will meet on rides and at beers, it is two different things, and you will be welcomed in real life, as much as you may be flamed on the internet..
