Oh, might be wrong about octalink being 9 years old.
Bottom bracket wasn't hollow so nut and bolt was best idea especially the tool that screws in.
Paint around BB didn't bother me too much, tried boiling water = waste of time.
If this problems arises in future, will definitely give Knowthejo a try.
