had a look on google mappage and at most its like 19miles isnt it
thats easy doable
-
• #3
It's perfectly feasible. Steve was commuting back and forth by bike from Lem to Cov and even I've done it - and I am lazy.
-
• #4
I commute to south cov (Warwick Uni) from North Leam, so it's only 10 miles each way :)
Easiest route is out of Coventry on the Kenilworth road and straight down the Kenilworth high street, and then straight out and into Leam.
Just PM'd about meeting up on Thursday :) I can come over to Cov. On my hybrid at the mo as both my fixed bikes are off the road :(

I Was on my way to meet Steve, is that a new bike you were on?
Regards Andy -

How did you get that job, are they hiring?
Do you have to ride the Cargobikes as well, or just your own Steed? -
• #11
yeah they are hiring, i think they are pretty short staffed atm. i dont get to ride the cargobikes however :( im just riding my own one.
-
• #12
Definitely interested, is there anyone I should speak to in particular?
Or, can you get me in? -
• #13
Frojoe, just Emailed them.
Put a good word in for me! ;.) -
• #14
That'd be cool :) Shame about the time of year though!
-
• #15
Steve - no such thing as wrong time of year / bad weather, just bad prep. Cycling in winter is a good way of keeping warm - beat shivering at a bus stop!
Joe - nice one you're working for them, say hello to both from me.
Andy - go for it, i'll put in a good word for you!

i may not be there for much longer as the work may clash with my uni timetable :(

• #18
How did you get the the job?
I'm guessing the pay isn't top notch owing to the level of skill required, but what 'bout the job in general? -
• #19
i got the job after i was recomended to apply by my estate agent, but the aplication was done through the emal address on the website and the phone number on there.
the pay is £6 an hour i believe and the job requires a LOT of cycling and reading map skill. deliverin about 100 letters. start is at 9 and finish is between 12 and 4 depending on the length of the round. its way harder than a thought would be

Frojoe thanks for the heads up.
Did you give them a CV? 'Cos Johnathan's got back to me asking for a CV, or a few paragraphs 'bout myself! -
• #21
yeah i did have to give them a CV and when they had looked at it they met up for a chat with me
-
• #22
Andy - sorry to hear that you lost your job. If you need help with writing up a CV and making it look good then let me know. I have lots of exerience of this.
-
• #23
Marcus, actually I do need to create a CV.
Can you send me a simple template as a File attachment?
As for Half_rds & 1st P_rsonnel they can suck my Balls! -
• #24
Marcus, also can you knock me up one of those LFGSS Cov Spoke Cards for my Beater?
Seen them in the flesh, they're rather smart! -

As for Half_rds & 1st P_rsonnel they can suck my Balls!I got sacked from the Tachbrook Park Half_rds many years ago for a bad attitude....nothing to do with my bike building skills of course ;)
Is it doable?
Seems pretty direct from Cov according to Google!
