You had to roll the car over to get him out but you didn't wait for a blood wagon? Sounds messy.

Whole OKR closed s/bound just past the fire station as I drove past just now. Police roadblocks and lots of cars with the lights flashing. Sounds proper grim, wish him the best.

There's a good few of us riding that route, any details of bike etc?

Burgundy (or dark) oldish style frame I think, drop bars, silver I think. I fished it outta the road, but I cant remember much about the bike tbh.

I hope his talking was a sign he only got carried along for a scary ride.

....he's called jamie and had a really lucky escape!
just wanna say a huge massive big thanks to anyone who was at the scene and helped lift the car...you dont know how grateful i am!
basically what happened was that the car initially just clipped his back wheel causing him to dismount but then instead of braking, the driver accelerated and then ran him over, dragging him under the car and crashing into a tree on the curb!
amazingly he has no broken bones, just a lot of deep gashes, cuts & bruises, with a nasty burn from the exhaust pipe on his back, which will need a skin graft.
It will take him a while to recover and before he gets back on his bike, but it could have been a lot worse!
his bike is pretty ruined...handlebars totally crushed! its mad cos he rides BMX all the time and has never been injured, but then gets battered on a route he rides everyday!thanks again to anyone who helped at the scene....you are amazing!!
xx

Shit, I didn't see this earlier. Unbelievable. I'm so glad that Jamie hasn't suffered worse injuries--that could have ended up life-threatening. All good wishes to him!

Wow, best wishes to Jamie and for a swift recovery, I'm so relieved to hear this, can we do anything to help Ellen? What actually happened to cause this, did the driver lose control of the vehicle?

Just saw a bad accident on the old kent road by asda.... fixed rider got hit by the car on his right and she ploughed left towards the curb (WTF?) hit a tree and left him under there. We rolled the car over onto ints side to get him out.... he was speaking. Man I hope you're ok whoever you are!!!!
