What about a British army deserter who decides they dont want to go to Iraq for reasons of conscience so leaves the country. Should they have their contract frozen?
Or Australians who want to return home but may come back here at a later date?
Soldiers are in the army so likely to be called away on service, so possibly chosing a contract phone was not the best idea.
