  • Handmade Bamboo/Carbon frame with carbon fork and seatstays.
Chain looks slack in pics but have changed gearing to magic gear. Was built for my sister to do triathlons on hence mech hanger but injury meant she couldn't use it so I fixed it. I cut the bars and fliped them over since photo, and also running front brake with primo bmx levers.
I wanted £700 for it but I want to get to the westcountry for the hurricane swell this weekend so I'll take £450. I know it's not the best spec'd bike but calfee frames cost over a grand alone, and this frame is pretty much the same (I prefer the carbon weave personally)
PM me if you are interested or for a newer photo

  • Good lord.

  • Good lord indeed....

  • what's the frame size?

  • so cool

  • Can't remember off the top of my head, think its about 50cm or so but i'll measure it this week if I get a chance
It's light and stiff but absorbs the bumps nicely - test rides welcome!

  • I'm sorry but... way to ruin a frickin' awesome frame!

  • yeah, i only meant to build it for display and didn't have enough cash or spare parts to make it how i wanted to
    will consider a split?

  • So that has canti/v-brake mounts built into the frame?

What's the clearance around the rear tyre at the seatstay bridge and around the trye at the bottom bracket?

Too small for me, but you'll open up a whole world of possibilities if this can be sorted out as a bonkers 'cross bike

  • Yeah it has canti bosses on the rear end as i used 'cross carbon seatstays - there is heaps of clearance for knobblies... It was a bit of an experiment as I thought it'd be a tri bike that my sis could use as a 29er too

  • I got a campag (chorus i think?) double chainset with an odd l/h crank that i'll throw in if required

  • Fek !!!!

  • Will you consider splintering?

  • You're taking the pith !

  • Will you consider splintering?

    hehe

  • culm down El Diablo..

  • I know it's no bob jackson or dolan but I thought i would offer it here first for much less than I wanted for it. It's new bar a few test rides and was handbuilt and unique, I think its worth the money. If it's not for you, it's not for you.
Will not consider splintering - Carbon weave takes care of that

  • Ok sorry, but thanks to pandaring to my silliness.....I've gotta shoot

  • Wow.

I reckon with a carbon CX fork, and some knobbly tyres that frame could make a great bike. Would'nt that difficult to set it up with CX canti's either.

  • Should add a rattan saddle for the full Bali effect

  • Or a surfboard rack on the side?!

  • or bananas...

  • Don't knock it till you tried it...

  • Bamboo/Carbon frames are supposed to be incredibly comfortable!
