someone had their brand new bike stolen from outside a cafe in Swain's Lane N6 yesterday - I saw the young scallies making it off with it on their scooters a few minutes later (they rode down our street), and not much later bumped into the victim & police who told me what had happened.
in a nutshell, the poor chap had only bought the bike 2 hours earlier... went out for a spin and only had a cheap lock. tut tut...
I took the guy's number and said I would let him know if I saw/heard anything, plus told him to check out BL, Gumtree etc...
anyway, longshot but if anyone sees a brand new white Boardman racer (happened to have a rear mudguard fitted but no front one) in what may be 'the wrong hands', post/pm here.
