You need head shots. Why waste the ammo and time? Sniping is only useful on single, high value targets.

AK and a shotty (2 barrels, sawn down). Simple & effective.

Molotovs as part of a static defence assembly. You don't want to be burning yourself or lighting things when you're in the middle of it.

.50 cal, the bullets on this would easily rip apart a rib cage, I wouldn't bother going for the head since it's a sure kill anywhere on the body with a bullet of this size, hence why you can kill them from half a mile away.

Molotov's couldn't you just pour the fuel down and light it as a defence?
