Will have to start a new nodder thread, saw edscoble last night, he is studying to be a cycle trainer, and in the manual it suggests that strong/confident riders actually try cycling with earphones to demonstrate to themselves how much the use their ears for cycling.
It also states how unreliable ears are for judging where things are on the road and suggests eyes are much better.
