I used to refuse lacing radials. Never believed in them (thou I know that opinion is pretty balanced radial v. x-lacing ), for me if you are going for stiffness, go 4x and get some straight gauge DT Swiss Champs, never too keen on double butted ones (thou many says it is better than plain gauge). I am quite ol'skool and resist form over function :)
