Inside the M25! Nicest way is the train - super quick from central. this is probably the most pleasant way by bike, but if you don't mind the horror of it all, I'd do the Old Kent Road/A20 to Lewisham, then the A21 down. Quick and (very) ugly.

Ha, I do A2/A20/A21 every day, it's not that bad. I did start that route when I was really unfit though, and it's sole purpose was to be as flat as possible. I should probably look at something more direct and quiet now.

I used to do Sidcup -> Eltham -> A20 -> A2 every day and loved it, but not everyone shares my enthusiasm for A roads.

My mind is now haunted.
