damn my 6"7' frame and 35/36 inside legs!

  • i want the cyclox kit from the new range

  • still no bids on the tour of britain pack

drats, was planning on hawking mine too

  • Rouleur for MTBs... good luck with that

Yeah when I was talking to Biff from Rouleur about this I was wondering how exactly they're going to pull it off when mountain biking is so diverse, you only need to look at Singletrack magazine to know that the fussy mtb crowd is there though.. Still tricky methinks.

  • I don't know. I think they are spot on.
It's not for actual mountain bikers. It's for suburban dreamers who spunked a few grand on a top spec mountain bike but never ride it for fear it will get damaged when they crash it into a tree. If most 4x4s are bought by urban yuppies who dream of living in the country it stands to reason most mountain bikes are the 2 wheeled equivalent.

  • Yeah if they point it at that market then they should be fine. Pretty niche though isn't it - but then I guess their distribution model doesn't rely on news stand sales at all so...

Fuck it, good luck to them. Contrary to the accepted belief Rouleur (and I guess Privateer) isn't actually owned solely by rapha, they just have shares in it and shared offices, though I think Rouleur are moving now..

    hear hear

  • actually I think most 4x4's are bought by yuppies who worry that they'll get killed in a car accident/collision with another yuppy in a 4x4 if they buy a 'normal' car... Oh and for mounting the curb on a school run.

  • damn my 6"7' frame and 35/36 inside legs!

Just roll em up! I have created a wish list - this was stupid stupid stupid!

    Touché salesman...

  • Long sleeved jerseys in time for the nippy nights:

    Plus leg warmers. Leg warmers?!

  • Fox

Legwarmers on cold days make a huge difference. Initially only knee warmers are needed, then leg warmers and then thermal tights as winter sets in.

  • Am I the only one looking forward to the colder weather a little bit? There's something nice about getting all wrapped up for a ride on a freezing day, as long as there's no ice or rain about.

  • I'm the same.

it's nice to not even sweat in the winter when you're busy trying to keep warm, and when you go home it's like 'ahhhh', almost as good as stepping in a nice hot bath after a cross country run.

  • Nope. I'm a miserable bistard. Spend all summer wishing it wasn't so bloody hot, then all winter dreaming of short sleeves again. All spring wishing the wind would bugger off, then all autumn wishing it would blow all the bloody slippy leaves away and get on with it.

Most times inbetween I'm phaffing like a git over how many layers/warmers/longs/shorts/fingered/fingerless/etc/as nausium I am going to wear.

So basically, I'm saying gear is too cheap now. Good ol' days were when you had tweed and just had to decide if you wore you cap or not.

  • I love the colder weather as long as it's not freezing rain. Love wearing long sleeves and tights (oo-er). Much better than overheating in the summer. Can't wait to break the Classic Softshell out soon.

  • What to do.....I have some vouchers from my B'day and am torn between the Classic Bundle or the Paul Smith Long Sleeve jersey. I am thinking the Classic bundle is more practical + arms warmers but the purple PS jersey does look nice.

Opinions....It'll be mostly worn for riding to work, generally about 12.5 miles.

  • Birthday presents are great when they are the luxuries you would not buy for yourself.

  • socks and pants

  • socks and pants

The little luxuries Mumbles aspires to.

  • easily pleased

  • I saw this in a shop, the design not the actual courier bag. it was on an expensive looking satchel / weekend bag and a toilet bag. all Paul Smiff leather goods. can't make my mind up whether its actually cool or POC. what do you think lfgss? (not james, I know you probably already have the set, you tart).

  • I dislike the design on that one but the jerseys design is great. Yes It's expensive but it's to be expected. It'll be a nicely made thing. Though if I wear looking to get something of that ilk I would look at Ally Capellino.
