I'll have for sale in a week or so, rear wheel from a gipiemme pista wheelset (black deep-v/gipiemme pista hub). Otherwise on-one/zenith/ambrosio hubs are quite cheap combined with a mavic open sport, spokes and wheel build should come to less than £100.

52/16, maybe you want to try an easier gear first

Might wanna see here.
The DP18s on Quandos should be good enough as a starter set. DP18s are not too bad to keep if you decide to upgrade later, just get some nicer hubs and relace them :)
Quite a deal with free cog and lockring too
Quick update for ya chaps....
DP18s on Quandos....im doing them for £90 posted
The Pegasus on Novatec £140 posted.

I'm going to be making my first fixie from an old frame I've got. Due to lack of tools and expertise I was going to buy a new wheel rather than changing the hub of an old wheel and then redishing. Is there a new rear wheel (700c) that you'd recommend or one someone is looking to sell? Are there different sizes/types of lockring dependant on your hub and choice of sproket? I have a chain for 52/16 gearing which is 1/8". I'm sure you've all been asked these questions but my poor attempts with the search bar weren't much help. I don't mind spending around £100 on the rear wheel (with lock ring & sprocket) but am reluctant to spend much more having only had a few goes on friends bikes. Can you guys help?
