  • The date's been booked in at Herne Hill since the day after the last one, but the official poster and details for Herne Hill's biggest event of the calendar have been released. Remember its Saturday 30th (the day BEFORE halloween!)

Entry opens this Friday at midday.

  • ... also, if anyone wants to race but isn't sure weather they'll be up for it or not - enter the go-race and come to Herne Hill's one-off 'cross training session.

    • everyone else, see you in the bar tent!
  • I've heard rumours of mud, and fake mud at this event.

That and Cliveo will be riding naked. And for that reason, I'm in.

  • Great event last year and definately looking forward to more boozy race watching and heckling.

  • Definitely going to try and make it down this year (and the training day if I'm available).

  • i'm in for spectating.

  • @winspar - can we ensure the beer tent doesn't run out of cider before I've finished racing this year. Please. Thank you.

  • I think Caspar's already arranged that, and has a new source of ciderzz and ales.

  • you want proper catering and bar this time or the queue might be in danger of crossing into westminster

  • Awesome. I wish I had a cyclo cross bike.
    #spectator.

  • Can you enter on an MTB?

  • I'm fairly certain you could last year.

  • Sweet - never done cross before but I'm down for both

  • Can you enter on an MTB?

MTBs are fine. You'll be expected to bunny hop the hurdles though...

  • ... and just to clarify if this is your first, or one of your first goes at 'cross/offroad racing, then you should probably enter in the Go-Race catagory - which will be a more entry level field of riders. If you're a regular racer then you should be in the main event.

  • JC, what about regular racers who are generally a bit rubbish?

  • Than use your own judgment! Technically you should really be in the main event.

  • The go-race really should be for proper newbies and singlespeed/fixed bikes for people without a licence. There are no strict rules though, but ringers may be heckled/abused/soaked!

I'm more minger than ringer: http://davehaywardphotos.com/Cyclo-Cross/London-C-X-first-round/13750380_7QsSn#1005912597_Py89r

  • Unfortunate watermark!

  • The missus thinks it is an improvement

  • was marshalling last year, had tons of fun.
will try and put a MTB together for this.
    mud is fun.

  • 2 hours 'till entries open!

Andy, I think you'll be out of luck.
