The front rim DOES have a ceramic braking surface, I know the difference and wouldn't confuse the two, but the picture is a bit crap. The ceramic finish gives the rim a sort of speckled/silica/marbled appearance and is a dark grey/ black colour. It must improve the longivity of the rim because after a year of use the braking surface on these still looks new.
The ceramic braking surface is available on both black and CD (the rather nice light grey enamel finish) rims. People often confuse CD rims with ceramic rims, but rims with the CD finish are available both with and without a ceramic braking finish. Hope that clarifies things.
